While I always encourage you to use what supplies you might have on hand and to do your own experimenting to see what works best for you.

 Here is a compilation of some of the supplies and tools I use for my a creations as well as other items that just make my life easier in the studio.

I want you to know that the supplies don't make the artist. You can start with what you have available and what YOU can afford.  You don't have to buy the most expensive tools, the most expensive clay or paints to be a great artist.
